We are String Theory, an
instrumental guitar duo of very accomplished musicians that feature
a unique collection of Classical, Jazz, Latin, pop, and original
compositions, using classical guitars, guitar synthesizer, and
percussion. String Theory has performed together for 20 years at
weddings, restaurants, coffee houses, private / corporate events,
etc. Their passion for music is evident in their performances.
Steve Pappas holds a
Classical Guitar degree from Youngstown State Universities’ Dana
School of Music. He is a music educator and private teacher. Steve
is a published guitar composer and arranger. His CD “Refuge” has had
worldwide sales. Specializing in Classical and Spanish guitar, some
of String Theory’s repertoire includes Steve’s own original
compositions.
Tony Valenzisi is a
multi instrumentalist and private percussion and guitar teacher with
over 20 years teaching experience. Specializing in Jazz,
improvisation, and percussion.
The
Trio:
In addition to the duo of Tony and Steve, we have a trio format
available. With the addition of Lori Valenzisi on vocals and flute,
she adds an element that we simply cannot achieve on our own. People really like us, but they LOVE Lori, if you ever see her
perform, you will know why.
The
Quintet:
When you add an excellent drummer and bass player to the trio, then
the sparks really start to fly. With a thoughtful mix of Jazz
Standards, Brazilian / Latin, Pop and World music both instrumental
and vocal, the quintet offers something for everyone. |
